Moved On To Maumelle (#839)

I arrived at a new campground yesterday…Maumelle Park on the Arkansas River is home for the next 2 weeks.

When setting up camp it was 72 degrees on the Ides of February…what!

Afterward, I was spent, needed a bit of a lie down… so the photo below was taken from my bedroom window looking out at yet another beautiful view of the Arkansas.

Thunderstorms overnite brought in a cold front so today was just perfect to get in a couple miles on the loop around the park.

I came upon a brilliant squirrel feeder on my walk…genius!

Keeps the corn dry while giving the critters a little protein snick-snack

Temps are falling fast with 32 as the overnite high… great hiking weather.

Love……. annie

Looks wonderful! I love the colorful squirrel feeder and that beautiful river. Makes me all the more anxious to get out on my sweet Delaware. But before that, I got mooring slips on Promised Land Lake again. I hope to get lots of kayaking in this summer. I wish I could mess around in boats with you, my friend.
