Cadron Settlement Park (#833)

Sunny days lure me away from camp for a bit of exploring, hiking thru forest and glen, seeing yet another part of this beautiful Arkansas River.

Outdoor oven…gonna build one somewhere…if I ever settle down
Trading Post, Home, Barracks…Built like a Brick….

Cadron Settlement sits along a slow moving bend in the river…over the years it has been witness to the Trail of Tears…the Civil War…and now peaceful meanderings of fauna and flora…

Sojourning along the Ark…what a pleasant way to spend a winter…

Love, annie

Pleasant, indeed! I’m glad you’re feeling well enough to go out exploring. Soak it all in before you “settle down”. Hahaha!
