Barge Rollin’ On The River

Tom Sawyer RV Park in West Memphis, Arkansas…where I could sit on the river bank while the Mississippi River rolls on…

That is breathtaking! Imagine living on that river, or next to it, with the river becoming part of who you are – part of your soul. I feel that way about the Delaware River and I don’t even live next to it. Maybe it’s just that once you’ve let it in, it stays in forever. I think of all the rivers as connected; the Delaware, the Mississippi, Paradise Creek, and the Ganges; all of them, the veins of the Earth. It’s comforting to feel they’re in my veins, too. I know they’re in yours.

We stayed in the Tom Sawyer RV Campground last year! It was amazing to watch the river traffic. I wanted to go on the paddlewheel riverboat ride, but with my twisted ankle, I wasn’t able to.
