Fossil And Fly (#816)

A walk is never just a walk when one is surrounded by Nature’s brilliance.

It is a meditation in wandering and wondering….a discovery of something you were not even looking for….

Peace, uplifting joy, a deep sigh of contentment…

Here in Wyoming, a mere 8 miles from the town of Cody, is beautiful Buffalo Bill Lake with miles of shoreline, soothing waters, vistas to readjust one’s vision.

Walking along the rocky beach, I saw a rock embedded with an ancient sea fossil.

Fossil found on a walk along the shoreline at Buffalo Bill State Park, Cody, Wyoming…

Later, at home, when I studied my photos, I found the little insect at the bottom of the fossil, using the crevice as a cozy cave.

Can you see her?

So many wonderful gifts just waiting for us outdoors anywhere we are, anywhere we go…

Love, annie
