If I Were A Lizard (#636)

If I were a lizard at Palo Duro Canyon, here in the Texas Panhandle………

I would, perhaps, live in this warm, cozy lizard condo,

Or maybe in this awesome, comfy hillside abode.

If I were a lizard, I would be just a whither and a waggle ( short stroll in lizard-speak) from this really cool bridge built by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the 1930s.  Imagine me sunning myself on one of those juniper rails.  Ahhh…..bliss!

If I were a lizard, this is one of many glorious views I would have from the canyon rim.

I can picture you sunning yourself! Wishing I was a lizard this morning. it is very cold in PA today. Only 10 right now and it is 8 am. Would love to be sunning somewhere else.

The vistas just go on and on forever out there, don’t they? It reminds me of New Mexico, where I lived briefly in the 70’s. The sky at night was a marvel. Very cold in PA, as Sherrill said – enjoy your basking, Annie!
