Wander And Wonder: Day 3 (#561)

Today I drove a half mile into the very small village of Westport.  It has a community store, some houses and a village green.

I parked my car at the village green, got out and walked across the grass to a steep set of stairs which descended to a beach.

Walking down all those steps was quite easy.  The beach itself is actually black sand.  I found a little world someone had created by a tiny stream.

The black sand was not compact.  It was very difficult to walk on.  I kept sinking about 3 inches every step I took.

After the climb back up the stairs, I looked for a place to rest.  A bench with a metal sculpture awaited me in a clearing.

Looks like you had a grand adventure. I bet you go a work out on that sand and stairs. 😀

Those stairs coming up would have done me in. That is the worst for me. Don’t know if I would have the strength to do them. God Bless you!
