Driving over 200 miles today brought me to Seal Rock Cove on the central coast of Oregon.

Crows were everywhere on the beach
Newport is only 10 miles to the north. So now I can stay for a couple of days and explore the area.
Thankful I finally made it to Oregon.

When you go to Lincoln City, you also need to drive back to the town of Siletz. There s a Siletz Tribal Veterans’s Memorial and Indian Cemetery that is so wonderful. Their Indian Cemetery has such life to it. Not at all like our Cemeteries. The Veteran’s Memorial is for all veterans. The drive from the coast to the town of Siletz is so beautiful. Well worth it. Depot Bay just south of Lincoln City, you must stop and do some wave watching. If you are there on high tide you can usually get some good photos of the blow holes. If you take the road where the street light is and turn inland, there is a US Coast Guard station in the back of the bay on the left. If you are lucky you can watch them do drills. I was there for and caught them and took tons of photos.
A nice hidden park called Roads End (north Lincoln City). It is a great place to feed the seagulls and take wonderful photos of them. There is also an entry to the beach, little walk (especially for me), but worth it. I’ve seen seals down there too. If we stay at the beach we are usually in Newport, so we know a lot of the area.
