It’s Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It) (#403)

On the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio sits the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

What a treat to find that I was but an hour’s drive down the road.

Granddaughter Arianna and I arrived an hour before the museum opened.  Perfect timing.  Parked right in front of the museum and walked along the pier by the lake.  Then on to the Hall of Fame.

And here is why the Hall of Fame is in Cleveland!

So Alan Freed first used the phrase “Rock and Roll.”  Cleveland also pledged $65 million to  build the amazing structure that today houses an incredible array of historic rock and roll memorabilia, exhibits and entertainment.

It was a wonderful road trip with granddaughter Arianna and a special way to relive countless teenage memories from the 1960s and 1970s.  And to re-ignite a treasured love of Rock and Roll.

Now there’s a museum I’d love to visit, but your great photos and description will have to do. Thanks for sharing that Annie 😄

    • You’re very welcome, Maggie. The missing element,of course, was all the wonderful music playing at each exhibit. And also the wonderful, kind and helpful museum staff.

What a find for you. Wonderful pictures. You and your granddaughter had a wonderful time and made some memories to last you both a life time.

I really enjoyed going there with you! I learned so much about classic rock that day.
