Yaks A-Frolic In The Street (#114)

On an April full moon day big on mist and fog, I had a few hours before going into work at Caspar Beach RV Park and Store. A perfect time to just take the camera, get in the car, drive along the coast. See what’s going on.

On the road I stopped to take some pictures of Mendocino Bay.

On Point Cabrillo Drive I happened on some Yaks escaping from their fenced in field. They scampered up and down the road until the leader decided they’d head for greener pastures.

Later at Caspar Beach I watched an Elephant Seal laying in the sand molting. A Marine Mammal Watch tape was set up, protecting him from people getting too close.

An all together pleasant way to spend a couple of hours before heading to the Beach Store and a day of work.
